Project Overview:

Wealth Willow wasn’t built to follow old rules — it was built to rewrite them. Designed for university students caught between impulse and intention, SpendTrack turns financial control into a mindset, not a punishment. Through deep user research, live interviews, behaviour mapping, and relentless iteration, I crafted an app that speaks to the emotions behind money, not just the math. This isn’t budgeting as you know it — this is financial freedom, reimagined through the sharpest lens of design, strategy, and human behaviour.

Objectives:

  1. Disrupt Emotional Spending at the Source:
    Through dozens of user interviews and emotional mapping exercises, I uncovered where impulse buys ignite — and engineered Wealth Willow to intercept them with reflection, strategy, and self-awareness, all in real time.
  2. Build Tools for Real Power:
    Prototypes weren’t sketches — they were weapons. I created living, evolving tools that made budgeting feel powerful, visual, and rewarding. Every feature was pressure-tested through user feedback to flip the story: from restriction to radical empowerment.
  3. Ignite a Movement, Not Just an App:
    Wealth Willow  isn’t a tool you hide — it’s a badge you wear. Community challenges, live leaderboards, and shared milestones transformed saving money into a competitive, addictive movement. Alone, you survive. Together, you thrive.

Scope of Work:

Wealth Willow  didn’t happen by accident — it was built through obsession:

  • Conducted deep user interviews and journey mapping to unearth the emotional roots of spending behavior.
  • Developed and tested high-fidelity prototypes, refining every flow through live user feedback and iteration.
  • Designed the Willow — a living metaphor of financial progress that taps into human emotion, pride, and momentum.
  • Engineered gamified milestones and challenges that weaponize motivation and create viral social proof.
  • Built a digital experience where the psychology of money is as seamless as the interface itself.‍
